Building on last summer’s success, the Library is continuing the online TEEN SUMMER READING CHALLENGE from June 1 to August 29, 2010.
The challenge is to read 1 MILLION pages by Brampton teens, 13 to 19 years of age.
Not individually but together. Teens can read any book of their choice and enter online for a chance to win a weekly prize. They can read as many books as they want and enter the number of pages each time they finish a book by clicking on Add/View Log after signing in. Participants can read fiction and non-fiction books both in print and digital formats. Audiobooks, graphic novels, manga and comic books can also be included. Each entry increases their opportunity to win. Winners will be selected by random draw each week. This summer, two grand prizes have been added, one for the highest number of pages read and another grand prize for the highest number of reviews posted.
Please visit the Youth page http://bramptonlibrary.ca/youth/index.php on library’s website for full information.

Paul Hunt Bursary Award - $500 Reward is open to any student who is a resident of Brampton, graduating from a public or separate secondary school with the Region of Peel and who has been accepted into an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution and who intends to major in Canadian history or related subjects.
