DEADLINE FOR NOMINATION SUBMISSIONS IS TOMORROW MARCH 3rd, 2011. This is the time to get those packages completed and submitted at the office. This is the second year that the Brampton Arts Council is accepting applications for the 2nd Annual Leon Bacardi Award of Excellence. Last year Brampton Theatre School’s Wes Payne received the award. He was the first in the tradition to be presented the award at the Brampton Symphony Orchestra’s Earth Hour concert. This year that honour will be bestowed on someone March 26, 2011.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Under 18 years of age
• Currently affiliated with any BAC member group in good standing for a minimum of 1 year
• Nominated by any BAC member group in good standing
• Groups can nominate more than one person
• Have not previously won the award
• Accomplished an outstanding achievement in any arts discipline
• Include your nomination form with back-up documentation (newspaper clippings, video, other media or references)
