Share your arts and services with Brampton's business community!



The Brampton Arts Council is pleased to once again host and sponsor the Brampton Board of Trade – “AFTER BUSINESS EVENT” on Wednesday, March 5, 2014.

BAC MEMBERS, this is your opportunity to network with the business community and share ideas with your peers.  Applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis from all BAC Individual members and member groups in good standing.  Space is limited.

BALLET DAY, REGISTER TODAY!



Vancliffen Arts Foundation in collaboration with the Brampton Arts Council would like to announce, BALLET DAY with Mr. Nigel Burgoine, former Principal dancer with London Festival Ballet (now English National Ballet) and Artistic Director of Ballet Theatre of Toledo (USA) on January 12, 2014, 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

The ballet classes are open to male and female students and are divided into three levels from Intermediate to Semi-Professional ages 12 -19. Girls should bring Pointe shoes.

At the request of the participants, these 1 1/2 hrs classes may be considered an audition class for the summer intensive program of English National Ballet School in the USA that will run from July 21-26, 2014 in Toledo. Students auditioning should bring a head shot.

The Ballet Workshops will be hosted at 'THE STUDIO" 250 Clarence St. Unit 5-6, Brampton. Ballet Day is made possible through a Brampton Arts Council grant. For more info and to register, please call (905) 458 0753 or email: vancliffenartsfoundation@gmail.com.
Classes are as follows:
Ages 12-13     Intermediate                                     10-11:30 AM
Ages 14-15     Advanced Intermediate                    11:45 AM-1:15 PM

Do you have your CAP application in yet?

BAC member groups should have received their notice for the Community Art Project funding. The funding will be given to not-for-profit, incorporated, Brampton Arts Council member groups in good standing. There is an application and selection process. The successful applicants will receive funds towards a small project that the group wishes to do in 2013. It cannot be used for regular operational or capital expenses. A written proposal for the project; a budget for the project; and some financial information of the applicant will be required. Please contact Marnie Richards prior to filling out the application to ensure that you are applying for a project within the criteria. UPCOMING YOUTH OPPORTUNITY


25th Annual Young Artist Showcase and The 25th Annual Young Author Showcase

The City of Brampton is a Sister City to Miami Beach. Sister City relationships foster partnerships within the community and between international cities. An opportunity has been made available where the young artists and authors may have their work entered in the Sister Cities International Showcases. The theme for both 2013 showcases is THE POWER OF EXCHANGE.

The BAC is going to conduct 2 competitions for its young individual members or young members of our groups (participants must be between 13 and 18 years of age at the time of the Sister Cities International deadline of May 1, 2013.)

Brampton Arts Council’s Deadline:
Young Authors - Deadline February 4, 2013
Young Artists- Deadline February 18, 2013

The submission guidelines (criteria, eligibility, etc.) are in the final stage of completion and will be available on- line at the Brampton Arts Council October 31. 2012.
