Eklektika was a big success! I never thought that Eklektika would have been this big of an success. I had no expectations, but from what I heard lots of people had high expectations of this gala. Let me tell you it did not disappoint. There was such a variety of art work, there was the ipod wall which was my person favorite. There was graffiti, pinch pots etc. As soon as you would enter you could feel the shift of mood. You suddenly felt like dancing and enjoying the night. It was crazy there in a good way. If you got out of control we don't know what would have happen. With the variety of art work there was also a variety of food Indian, Chinese etc. It was just a wonderful night. Hope something like this happens again.

  3. Miss Goyeau,I want to say a big thank you for having the elektika art gallery. Sadly I wasn't able to make it on any of the days but I was glad to hear that it was a big success since over 250 people showed up. All my friends told me that the performances were outstanding and that the food was delicious. Once again thank you for spending all you time and a whopping $3000 on this occasion. Finally, I am positive that if theres another art gallery I will be the first person there.

  4. Eklektika. What can I say? It was one outstanding event that took place in downtown Brampton. To this day, nobody has been able to accomplish what the organizer of this event had done; Miss Goyeau. Miss Goyeau had taken out her time to organize this whole unbelievable event and raised a great amount of money to make this possible. When I first attended this event, I had soo many emotions going through my body. I was surprised, amazed and proud of Miss Goyeau. When I went to go look at some of the art pieces and returned about 5 minutes later, the place was jam packed! It was something you had to see, all of those people here to see the art. Not to mention it was our art, 12 and 13 year old children’s art work. We had an admirable opportunity to place our art work in an art gallery at the age of 12. This allows you to gather an interest in art which is more than a teacher can ask for. That is because most parents just say that art isn’t important, it won’t help you in life but that is where they are wrong. Participating in art classes and doing art can pay off because being an artist is a fantastic experience and art isn’t just drawing on a paper, it has many parts to it. An example could be acting because acting is a visual art. Dancing is also art because it is visual art and dancing is visual. Speaking of dancing, there were many wonderful dancing performances as well at Eklektika. These dances were multicultural so it was even more entertaining. There were Punjabi dances (bhangra) and African dancing too. Another event that took place in Eklektika was the tabla playing. Table is a South Asian unique drum and children had an opportunity to play that as well. This just gives you an idea of how all of the Treeline Public School students had opportunities to gain confidence and many types artistic skills. After all of these performances and art pieces to look at, you were obviously going to get hungry as well, so our thoughtful teacher had planned to make multicultural food too. There were somosas, jerk chicken, spring rolls and much more. As you can see, Eklektika had turned out to be a huge success and an even better experience.
